Take a slow look around yourself. What is it that you see? Pick one object either near or far. Try to discover a different view of it. Maybe you manipulate the object or you move yourself in an effort to discover its most unique or ordinary features. Perhaps you are looking at the colorful reflection of a CD or you are just noticing the blowing leaves in the wind. We live in a world that surrounds us in beauty and in our day to day lives we often lose sight of many of them. These surroundings, and many more, are the things that I hope to capture with this project.
Photography has brought a new element to my life. It often gets me to go outside with no real purpose or direction other than to find something new or inspirational. It is something that I have thoroughly enjoyed as an escape but primarily as a hobby. In an effort to develop my knowledge, understanding, creativity, and most of all my enjoyment in this art I will be delving into this task. It is not all that uncommon that an amateur photographer will attempt for a Julie and Julia-like experience with capturing 365 pictures in 365 days. However, the results often become photographs that are uninspiring quick snapshots that in many cases do not hold a lot of meaning. This is what I am trying to avoid. My hopes with "52 Framed" is to capture a strong repertoire of at least fifty-two photos, one each week, that is a representation of my ultimate piece of work. I will only post the photos of the week that I truly feel proud of. I hope to stay fresh with my ideas, energy, drive and passion and I hope that is reflected through my efforts. Throughout this endeavor I will look for support, feedback and fresh ideas, so please keep them coming.
