Princeton University.

These door handles made me feel as if I were in the Medieval Ages. The definition, character, and texture are all so ever-present on this door, which can be chilling in this black and white below.

"Timeless"

 "Fairy Tale"

"Leaves of a Season"

  1. Love, love, love this post. Hands-down, best photos overall since your first pictures of Egypt and Rome – only because I have the memories to go with those photos though.

The door handles are haunting and want to tell a story. And your gingerbread house below is straight out of a fairy tale. FUN FACT: The “Timeless” door handles are from the fairy tale door in the picture below!

“Leaves of a Season” demands attention. I LOVE the look of the leaves on the bush, the depth of the photo, the lines and shapes and colors, as well as the slight crookedness that forces you to tilt your head for confirmation.

  2. Am I in a horror movie? That's what this set of photos feel like. Ominous door and certainly a "fairy tale" building, but not a Disney fairy tale. And then the leaves outside the window picture looks like the perspective of some urban killer alla the Scream movies.

My favorites here are Fairy Tale and Leaves because you made interesting cropping decisions. So much is cut out of these pictures and this makes them more interesting to me. It's also part of what gives them the horror vibe; where is the monster? I'm sure it's just out of the frame!
