Taken in Egypt back in March, this large wooden barrel of Saffron and Koran was typical
of the Luxor Souk, or market.
The following two photos were taken from a felluca ride, also in Luxor, on the Nile. The first being a boy whose task was to man the ship duties while the guide navigated the boat. The following picture being a shot of the sunset we witnessed as the only two visitors for our guide on that day.
The third photo here is of Lee Ann and I in front of the Colosseum in Rome as the final stop of our trip.
This is a photo that I took in one of my first days with my new camera that really sparked my interest and realizations into what can be possible to capture as a photographer.
Getting a little more adventurous with foreground/background work. This was then turned into a
Christmas gift for my big sis.

Most of these I like a lot.
ReplyDeleteBoy on the ship: So many vertical or vertical-ish lines. Plus the foreground is all gritty and the background is just this blank gray canvas. Great
Sunset: This one is just so damned nice. Perfectly symmetrical if cut down the middle, but lots of diversity from top to bottom.
Coliseum: The angle of this shot makes it work. It makes the coliseum tower over you and I also really like how you captured the curve of the building.
Bee: simple, nice, *shrugs*.
Wine bottle: I like perspective shots that make things look bigger than they are. This shot is what it would look like if George Lucas had used a wine bottle instead of models of Star Destroyers, gargantuan vino drifting past the viewer.
Everything in the Saffron and Koran photo is great. The colors and lines are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOf course, I love the Nile and Colosseum, mostly for the wonderful memories that the pictures hold.
I love the color in the bumble bee photo! You have somehow made a simple bee exotic!
Sunset: Truly a lovely photo. The water really draws my attention at first but I loved that there is so much to this photo.
ReplyDeleteWine Bottle: I like how the background is sightly out of focus and it really draws my attention to the wine bottle.
